This new streamlined approach will have broad appeal among art lovers - especially younger, first time art buyers, looking for an original with a more contemporary look.
There is a special charm about a painting in it's initial stages before being brought to completion. This new range of Tony's paintings is basically his rough minimalist sketches before they’re worked over with a palette knife and textured paint. They have the immediacy and spontaneity of water colours, but the durability and permanence of acrylic on canvas.
They provide a glimpse into the hand and mind of the artist at work. These "Sketchings" will generally reflect Tony's rapid decisive brushwork and brilliant lighting. Like with his more completed palette knife landscapes, again the viewers are challenged to use their own imagination to complete the painting.
